What Is Smart & Skilled?
Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. The training is subsidised by the NSW Government. The purpose of the reform is to help people in NSW gain the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.
Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with:
- An entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
- Government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas.
Train365 is currently offering the following qualifications under the NSW Smart and Skilled initiative:
- High Risk Licenses
- Mining Site Courses
- Construction Courses
- Cleaning Courses
- Hospitality Courses
- Foundation Skills Training
Funding Eligibility
Train365 is an approved provider under the NSW Smart & Skilled Program for 2023-2024.
We support our students in obtaining funding for our courses under the NSW Government Smart & Skilled subsidy program.
To be eligible you must be of the following:
- An Australian or New Zealand Citizen. Alternatively you can be an Australian Permanent Resident or Humanitarian Visa holder
- Must be 15 years or older at time of application
- Have left school
- Be living or working in New South Wales
- Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
