Who Should do this Course?
This course is designed to provide accreditation in the application of providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR within Australia. This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Course Content
The course consists of theory & practical training, followed by an assessment day which consists of both written & practical components.
This course is designed to provide suitable training and accreditation for anyone who may have to provide CPR in either the community or place of employment. It covers in greater detail the following:
- How to respond to an emergency event or situation
- How to perform CPA
- How to communicate details of an incident
- How to review the incident after it has occurred
Course Requirements
Appropriate clothing and covered shoes or boots, food and drinks. This course is covered in both a face to face & online learning environment. Basic numeracy and English literacy is a requirement.

There are no preparation requirements for this qualification.
Course Fees
All enrolments are considered tentative until payment has been received. Full course fee must be paid within 48 hours of enrolment.
Course Outcome
Upon successful completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment of HLTAID009
