This course is tailored for individuals employed in surface coal mins & open cut examiners within Australia as specified by Safe Work Australia. This qualification delivers a range of coal mining technical skills as well as leadership and safety knowledge.

The course consists of theory & practical training, followed by an assessment day which consists of both written & practical components.

This qualification underscores the importance of versatility and sound decision-making in open cut coal and metalliferous mines or quarries operations. Certificate holders utilise discretion and judgement to apply safe work practices and operate equipment to extract and transport materials, as well as carry out other essential duties.
